A Huge Step Forward: Thanks to You, We Can Dream Bigger

It’s been an emotional few weeks here at JuiceboxBabies and our new branch, Glucose & Grace. As many of you know, we’ve been working tirelessly to raise funds for Maybel’s diabetic alert dog. Between homeschooling, doctor visits, managing blood sugars, extracurriculars, keeping up with friends and community, running a household, and trying to maintain our business, it often feels like there aren’t enough hours in the day. And on top of that, this year has been even more challenging—Brett’s back injury and surgery kept him off work from May to August, which meant I had to take on even more while still keeping the family afloat.

Through it all, our hearts have been lifted by the generosity and support of our community. Leslie donated an incredible $1,000 worth of product (honestly, probably more than that!), and the Frankfort Ladies Auxiliary gave $1,500 to help us expand Maybel’s business. We are honestly overwhelmed with gratitude. These gifts aren’t just financial—they’re a vote of confidence in our mission and a reminder that we’re not walking this journey alone.

With their help, we were able to launch a new branch: Glucose & Grace. This space is dedicated to handmade jewelry and beadable creations, each piece crafted with love and courage. The purpose is bigger than just selling beautiful items—it’s about supporting Maybel’s journey toward her diabetic alert dog, raising awareness, and giving back to our community.

One of the most exciting parts of this expansion is that it allows me to be a little more hands-off with the product side of things. While I still pour my heart into creation, I can now focus more energy on spreading the word, sharing our story, and connecting with people who want to help make Maybel’s dream a reality. It’s a small shift, but one that makes a huge difference. I can spend more time on outreach, social media, fundraising, and building the connections that will ultimately help us get her the support she needs. While Maybel gets to live her best life creating!

This milestone is a reminder that while the journey toward a diabetic alert dog isn’t over, we’re making progress. Every donation, every shared post, every kind word, and every bit of support brings us closer to our goal. And while the dog won’t solve every challenge, it will bring safety, independence, and peace of mind to Maybel and to our whole family.

We are so thankful for everyone who has helped us get here—and we know the journey isn’t over yet. Your support, encouragement, and generosity continue to inspire us to keep going, even on the hardest days.
